Description

For sale is this NOS NIB new testing (may have light shop use but test where new tubes test on Jackson 648A tester and come with generic boxes) matched pair black plate 6EM5s and two converters to allow them to be plugged into 6973 amps. This will make the height approximately 3 1/8" above the socket, and 6EM5 has different maximum voltages than 6973. If your 6973 amp outputs 15 or less watts/channel, I'd just plug these in and not worry at all. 6973s are made for up to 24W output/pair. If your amp is made to output 25 watts/pair of 6973s, it probably runs at much higher voltages and we don't recommend this conversion. If amp is 20 watts/pair and has bias control, i wouldn't worry about this conversion. You get the two black plate 6EM5s made by RCA (rebranded Sylvania but you can see the RCA hexagon and beautiful distinctive RCA mottled black plates), and 2 adapters to plug them in 6973 amps.
