Desert Gold returns to Ace Hotel with free performances from Sudan Archives and more – San Gabriel Valley Tribune
Desert Gold will return to the Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs during both weekends of the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio this month.
The pre-Coachella party is free and open to the general public with RSVP in advance.
The lineup for the first weekend (April 15-17 from noon to 6 p.m.) will include a number of performances and curated activations. Los Angeles-based violinist and singer Sudan Archives headline poolside Saturday; Los Angeles-based collective Pangea Sound will feature poolside DJs all weekend; The Do-Over invades the Commune with mystery DJ sets on Sundays; and In Sheep’s Clothing will be inside the Amigo room for all three days with a rotating roster of DJs and a specialty cocktail menu.
For the second weekend, the party starts on Thursday, April 21 and continues until Sunday, April 24 from noon to 6 p.m. The lineup will include the Future Classic label with a slew of artists inside the Amigo room; women, vinyl and gender collective Chulita Vinyl Club will feature various artists poolside all weekend; and The Do-Over and In Sheep’s Clothing will return. There will also be a live performance from Los Angeles-based DJ Esty on Saturday.
