Community group Offaly relaunches fabulous house raffle

The Killeigh Community Center Development Association continues the Win a Home campaign launched in June 2021 with the aim of raising the necessary funds to carry out the community center project.

Last year they bought a beautiful three-bedroom house on the Royal Oaks estate in Enfield to raffle off and launched the Win a Home in Enfield campaign. While the committee had hoped to be able to hold the draw in January 2022, it has now extended that date to December 19, 2022.

They relaunched the campaign and made some changes to it, mostly offering a cash alternative to the house price of €300,000. They also changed the name of the draw to win a house in Meath. This was based on professional advice and they hope to attract a wider audience and ensure a successful draw. Existing ticket holders can rest assured that tickets purchased through the original campaign (Win a Home in Enfield) are still valid for the draw.

The committee engaged Payne Creative, a digital media company run by local woman, Hannah Payne, to refresh and revitalize the campaign. She came up with some new and innovative ideas to promote the raffle and in the coming months they will be running additional bonus raffles with cash prizes, free tickets and a few surprises along the way! The final draw for the main House prize at Royal Oaks, Enfield or €300,000 cash will take place live on December 19, 2022.

The committee continues its commitment to the local community by ensuring that this raffle is a success and by raising a substantial sum of money to finally open the doors of the much-needed community center in Killeigh! They are also delighted to announce that the hugely popular Family Fun Day & BBQ is back and will be held on Monday 6th June at the Killeigh GAA grounds from 2-6pm.

They held two very successful June Bank Holiday Fun Days in 2018 and 2019, but this community event could not take place in 2020 or 2021 due to the pandemic.

Many fun activities are planned and we look forward to welcoming young and old on D-Day!
