300-level UNIJOS student murdered in hotel room, eyes and other organs confiscated

A 300-level student at the University of Jos (UNIJOS), identified as Jennifer Anthony, was killed and her body mutilated, some parts missing.

Nigerian Tribune has learned that the deceased, who was a student in the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, was lured to a hotel on Zaria Road in Jos, by a man suspected of being her boyfriend, where she was allegedly drugged before being killed.

It was established that the boyfriend, after the act, left the hotel and removed virtually anything that could be used to find him, including the lady’s phone and other valuables in his bag .

A source close to the hotel revealed that the mutilated body of the young girl was discovered by a friend of her who found her at the hotel and discovered her in a pool of her blood, while eyes and other organs were missing.

“The friend who discovered the body alerted the hotel workers, who then called in the police. The woman’s body had been deposited at the Plateau State Specialized Hospital, ”the source said.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Ubah Gabriel Ogaba confirmed the incident.

He said the command has started a full investigation into the incident.

Ogaba said: “The command is aware of the horrific incident that took place on January 1 in a hotel [name withheld]. The suspect, who is on the run, left with all the means to identify the victim.

“The Police Commissioner has ordered a discreet investigation to elucidate the circumstances surrounding the incident and to arrest the perpetrators of this despicable act. We promise to provide the media with more details on the incident as it unfolds. “

He added that the police commissioner also had a safety meeting with hoteliers in Jos on Thursday about the incident and gave them advice on how to prevent it from happening again.
