13 injured in collective clash in Karnal village : The Tribune India

As many as 13 people, including a woman, were injured in a clash between two groups in Kaimla village below Gharaunda police station on Saturday night.

Police say 12 people have been discharged and one is hospitalized.

According to the police, the clash took place between two families following phone calls from a boy to a girl in the village, but an investigation is underway to determine the real reasons. The two groups filed charges against each other and the police filed an FIR.

“We filed an FIR on the complaint of the party related to the girls’ side on the charge of bodily harm and indecent assault. The second party filed a complaint in the evening which is under review,” said Ganga Ram Punia, SP.

The girl’s father alleged that a neighborhood boy used to harass his daughter while making calls. He and other family members went to the boy’s father to file a complaint against the boy. Instead of scolding his son, he and others attacked him and other family members.
