10-year-old boy sodomized in Ludhiana village: The Tribune India
Ludhian: An unidentified person allegedly sodomized a 10-year-old boy in the village of Amargarh Kalera, near Jagraon. Sadar Jagraon police registered a sodomy case against the accused and launched an investigation to identify him. The victim’s mother said her son was studying in class VI. On May 10, while on his way to school, he was arrested by an unidentified person. The accused first received an injection in the arm. When he lost consciousness, the accused sodomized him. During the following days, the accused continued to sodomize the boy. The woman alleged that on June 27, her son’s health deteriorated and he was taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment, where doctors said he had been put to sleep, causing him had caused health problems. Investigator SI Gurpreet Singh said yesterday a case of sodomy had been registered against the accused and clues were being put together to identify him. TNS
Five detainees displaced
Ludhian: Five defendants held in Ludhiana Central Jail in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala were recently transferred to Goindwal Jail. They have been identified as Baldev Chaudhary, Jaskaran, Mani, Ninder and Satbir. They were moved as a precaution as one of the defendants, Satbir, was recently attacked in the prison by other inmates who were angry at the defendant’s involvement in the Moosewala murder case. TNS
